Our Story
Founded by Aki Hliaras, AH Design Studio combines expertise in construction and interior design to deliver thoughtful, functional spaces. Built on the belief that successful projects require more than great design, the studio prioritizes careful planning, clear communication, and a seamless client experience.
Since founding the studio in 2020, Aki has grown AH Design Studio into a collaborative team with more than 350 completed residential, renovation, and small commercial projects. In 2022, the studio expanded with the opening of its Pierrefonds showroom, offering clients a streamlined experience for selecting materials, finishes, and cabinetry throughout every stage of their project.
Since 2023, AHDS has become an official kitchen cabinet retailor. Supplying dozens of homes with kitchen cabinetry and built ins across Montreal.

Aki Hliaras - Founder and Principal Designer
The founder of AH Design Studio with over 12 years of experience in the construction industry, holding a bachelors degree in interior design, specializes in renovations, additions, and new construction, both residential and commercial. His experience has been honed through hundreds of completed projects, and close collaboration with architects and developers, giving him a deep understanding of how projects are brought to fruition.
Aki possesses in-depth knowledge of construction processes building codes, municipal bylaws, and design principles, ensuring that every project is completed with precision, aesthetics, and adherence to codes & regulations.

Ruby Hliaras - Studio Operations
Ruby plays a key role behind the scenes at AH Design Studio. For new inquiries, Ruby is typically the first point of contact and facilitates the initial conversation before connecting clients with our lead designer. She also oversees the studio’s marketing, social media strategy, and content coordination.
Ruby coordinates before-and-after photography following project completion and oversees all incoming inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional follow-up with prospective clients interested in working with the studio.
